CONSUMER WARNING for Used Piano buyers.  Please read before continuing through our selection of currently available used pianos:

Most customers come into a piano store asking for a used piano.  Since Yamaha is the largest Musical instrument company in the world and played by professionals everywhere, the requests for used Yamaha pianos is great. 

Unfortunately, unlike cars that get traded every year or two, pianos generally are kept in homes for many years.  Also unlike cars, the total number of new pianos sold every year is very small, therefore limiting even more the availability of quality used pianos. 

With all this demand and so few used pianos of good quality available in America, a significant number of Grey Market Yamaha and Kawai pianos are brought into the United States to be sold through dealerships that generally do not qualify as authorized Yamaha Dealers. (Authorized Yamaha Dealers are not allowed to sell new Yamaha acoustic pianos on the Internet).   These pianos may be offered for sale as a "Good used piano" without the customer understanding the perils that may accompany the purchase of such a piano.
